General Summary

The School of School of Technology and Professional Services Management within the Game Above College of Engineering and Technology at Eastern Michigan University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in our Technology Management Program. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate technology management courses using both online and hybrid formats. In addition, candidates will be expected to assist with student advising, direct course projects, create innovative instructional materials, and engage in student learning.

The candidate will be required to: conduct scholarly research, including publishing, presenting and participating in grant activities; develop sources of external collaboration for projects with industry and the community; participate in program assessment activity; and assume an active role in the planning and governance of the institution through service on program, department, college, and university committees.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates should possess an earned doctorate in technology management or related field, have experience in a technology-based industry such as alternative energy, health-care, or geographical information systems, and have teaching experience at the post-secondary level.

The potential candidate should possess knowledge in the following areas:

• Knowledge of subject matter (technology project management, management of technological change, information and knowledge management, management of organizational change, strategic management of technology, assessment and evaluation of technology, quality management of technology and innovation and product development).
• Knowledge of curriculum and course development and the use of online teaching pedagogy.
