General Summary

Eastern Michigan University's Physician Assistant Program invites applications for a 12-month, full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position designed for educators who value collaboration, innovation, and student-centered mentorship. Celebrating over a decade of excellence since 2014, our ARC-PA-accredited program uniquely supports both your clinical and academic careers.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Teach didactic and clinical content across classroom, laboratory, problem-based learning, and simulation settings.
Provide student mentorship, academic advising, and student evaluations throughout the program.
Participate in curriculum development, course planning, student assessments, and instructional material preparation.
Engage in program governance, committee work, and accreditation maintenance activities.
Participate in scholarly activities and interprofessional professional development supporting tenure and promotion.

Minimum Qualifications:

Physician Assistant certification (PA-C) with current state licensure, Emeritus status, or physician (MD/DO) with current medical licensure.
Master's degree in PA studies or related field required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum two years clinical experience (five years preferred); Precepting background valued.
Strong communication and collaborative abilities.
Commitment to innovative, student-centered teaching.
Interest in scholarly activities and professional development.
