General Summary

Provide support to the Department of Computer Science. This includes tutoring in the Computer Science tutoring lab and other duties supporting the mission of Eastern Michigan University.

Graduate Assistants receive a stipend and a tax-exempt tuition waiver.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for tutoring, working with students on learning strategies, and other activities supporting student learning in the Department of Computer Science.

Minimum Qualifications:

Ability to work 10 hours per week (50% graduate assistantship) or 20 hours per week (100% graduate assistantship) is required.

A Bachelor's Degree is required.

Application to the M.S. in Computer Science program is required.

Enrollment in at least 6 graduate credits in the Department of Computer Science during the Fall 2024 and Winter 2025 semesters is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Tutoring experience is helpful.
