General Summary

Provide support to the Department of Mathematics & Statistics.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

This includes tutoring in the Math lab and other duties supporting the mission of Eastern Michigan University.

Responsible for tutoring, working with students on learning strategies, and other activities supporting student learning in the Department of Mathematics & Statistics.

Minimum Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree is required.
Application to (or enrollment in) the M.S. in Mathematics or Applied Statistics program is required.
Enrollment in at least 6 graduate credits during the Winter 2027 semester in the Department of Mathematics & Statistics is required.
Ability to work 10 hours per week (50% graduate assistantship) or 20 hours per week (100% graduate assistantship) is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Tutoring experience is helpful.
