General Summary

The School of Engineering invites applicants for part-time lecturer positions to teach undergraduate courses in one of the following engineering technology or construction management disciplines at our partner institution in the Republic of China. Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET), Electrical & Computer Engineering Technology (CEET), or the Product Design Engineering Technology Program (PDET).

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

This position will require in-person teaching at our partner institution in the Republic of China during May and June 2024. Teaching may include a number of particular obligations that employees are expected to fulfill, including but not limited to in-person meetings with students, assessing student work and performance, assessment as required for ABET accreditation, preparing syllabus and course materials, providing copies of syllabus and course materials to their supervisor on request and assigning and submitting grades in accordance with established Eastern Michigan University schedules and policies.

Perform related departmental duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must have the following minimum requirements:

1. Master’s degree in the MET, CEET, or PDET or in a related discipline (for Engineering Technology).  Master's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering (for Construction Management).

2. College teaching or industrial training experience
