General Summary
Provide leadership and direction to occupancy management, assignment processes, marketing, communications, IT and building services area for housing and residence life. Ensure these processes are implemented by housing and residence life staff in a manner that is seamless for students.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Occupancy Management, Assignments, and Marketing Supervise the assignments process from contract development, working with admissions, room selection, billing, reconciliation to room changes and contract release function
- Includes oversight for residential housing database systems operations. Oversight for dining reconciliation. Oversight for occupancy management including reporting, configuration and assisting director with annual projections.
- Provide direction and implementation of all departmental wide marketing and communications.
- Oversight for customer service function within the department including website management, application, central office front desk, and departmental email system.
- Insure positive customer service practices within the central office and related departmental offices.
- Oversight for all Fast Track and visit day responsibilities of Housing and Residence Life.
- Provide support to Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Business Services, Athletic Coaching staff, Building Services and IT.
- Oversight for Housing and Residence Life building, facilities, and maintenance processes including assuring quality residential services for students.
- Oversight for door access security system, including database access, staff security levels, working with other senior staff to determine building entry policies, and determining operational and security policies for the system.
- Oversight for all door key systems including protocols for master keys, key safes, lock changes, and audits.
- Oversight for the development and implementation of protocol in responding to facility emergencies and/or questions, concerns, requests and complaints from students, parents, prospective students, parents, and University officials.
- Oversight for departmental opening from an assignments/communication and facilities area including student welcome materials, facilities preparedness, and keys with the support of the housing team and residence life implementation.
- Working relationship with physical plant, lock shop, purchasing, and IT staff.
- Serves on central leadership duty rotation which does include maintaining a departmental cell phone during specified weeks and responding to escalated calls in the evenings and on weekends.
- Perform related Departmental duties, as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in a related field is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous administrative and leadership experience with housing and residence life operations systems, marketing, or customer services operations is desirable.
