General Summary
The School of Information Security & Applied Computing (SISAC) in the GameAbove College of Engineering and Technology at Eastern Michigan University (EMU) invites applications for a tenure-track position in Information Security and Applied Computing with an emphasis on cybersecurity in mobility and/or embedded systems. SISAC, as a designated Center of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity Education by the National Security Agency, offers two undergraduate degree programs in Information Assurance and Cyber Defense (IACD) and Information Technology (IT), a master’s degree in Cybersecurity, and a doctoral degree in Technology with a concentration in Cybersecurity.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses that fulfill the SISAC curriculum goals and objectives; develop and maintain curriculum; participate in services to support the mission of the school, the university, and the community. The candidate is expected to remain active in research and scholarly activities including developing externally funded research programs. The candidate is expected to have knowledge and previous experience with ABET Program accreditation, or willingness to learn and participate.
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates are expected to hold a Ph.D. in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
