An earlier start date is negotiable.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to manage the day-to-day operations of the training clinic associated with our PhD program in clinical psychology. This includes: training and clinical supervision of doctoral student trainees; supervision of clinic staff; oversight of clinic scheduling, billing, and budgeting; preparation of reports on clinic operations for APA accreditation; management of clinic technology needs; development with the Doctoral Training Committee wide-ranging clinical services to meet curricular goals and needs; coordinating supervision provided by others and serving as the backup supervisor; establishing and maintaining relationships with referral sources and external practicum placements; evaluation of clinical outcomes and program evaluation of clinic operations; leading quality improvement initiatives; updating clinic policies and procedures; and obtaining service or training grants relevant to delivery of clinic services. Clinic services are delivered mainly in person and also via telehealth.

The successful candidate must be highly organized, dependable, team-oriented, have excellent communication skills, and be able to work at a high level of relevant productivity with minimal supervision. The clinic director will serve as a core member of our doctoral program faculty, working on an 12-month contract that includes all benefits afforded tenured/tenure-track faculty members. Clinical psychology faculty are expected to mentor students, maintain a program of research (the scholarly activity requirements are transparent and achievable in this position), and engage in service on departmental, college, and university-level committees. The successful candidate also will be expected to teach clinical psychology courses (which may be clinical supervision) and supervise graduate student milestone projects (e.g., thesis and dissertation research, qualifying exams) for students under their mentorship.
