General Summary
Coordinates all aspects of fieldwork placement (at Levels I and II) for Occupational Therapy MOT and COT, including, but not limited to, meeting with agencies to arrange placements, matching students with agencies/sites, visiting sites/students, counseling site supervisors and students when questions or problems occur, and insuring students have completed appropriate prerequisites before placement (for example, immunizations, CPR training) as well as ensuring students are registered for the appropriate class while on fieldwork assignments.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications:
Registered occupational therapist, licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Michigan is required.
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy awarded by an institution that is accredited by a USDE-recognized regional accrediting body is required.
Experience supervising students in fieldwork is required.
A minimum of five years of clinical practice with demonstrated knowledge of current occupational therapy practice is required
Preferred Qualifications:
University level teaching experience in Occupational Therapy is strongly preferred.
Prior experience in counseling and advising students is highly preferred.
