General Summary

The Biology Department invites applications for a tenure-track position in neurobiology
at the Assistant Professor level, beginning August 2026.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

We value student research, and the successful candidate will be expected to establish an active neurobiology research program that engages diverse undergraduate and Masters- level students. The Biology Department has 16 faculty members and participates in the undergraduate Neuroscience Interdisciplinary Program, and offers an undergraduate major in Biology and M.S. programs in Cellular and Molecular Biology; Evolution, Ecology, Organismal Biology, and General Biology.

Perform related Departmental duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

We seek an individual with a Ph.D., postdoctoral research experience in neurobiology, and who demonstrates the ability to teach at the college level.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to individuals who can teach BIO 330 Neuroanatomy, NSCI 301 Introduction to Neuroscience, and advanced neuroscience courses.
